Dietician says we should follow intuitive eating. Intuitive eating allows your body to trust yourself and to eat right. We mostly try to eat healthily but we often find ourselves failing. Our taste buds overpower our wisdom to eat nutritious food. Fortunately, there are multiple substitutes to regular ingredients that excite our taste buds. In this article, we will discuss how pasta can also be cooked in a healthy way. If your brain says your stomach wants food, give it. Dietician suggests a list of types of pasta which are healthy and can be eaten regularly without fear of gluten, fats, more carbohydrates intake.

Whole wheat pasta – If you go to the supermarket, you will find an entire shelf filled with brands selling whole wheat pasta. People are now preferring whole wheat past as it helps to increase protein and fiber intake in the body.

Quinoa pasta –Pasta made from quinoa is rich in iron. The pasta is gluten free and a rich source of magnesium. It is also high in protein.  

Buckwheat noodles pasta –This kind of pasta is also known as Soba noodles. People mark its origin in Japan. This is a dietician’s favorite noodles. It considerably reduces our calorie intake. Buckwheat noodles are gluten free.

Sprouted grain pasta – This pasta tends to have a higher content of Vitamin B protein and fiber.  They are good to prevent diabetes or any kind of ailment.

Spelt pasta -Spelt pasta is ancient.  This type of pasta has been eaten by people since ancient times. It has high fiber, high protein. It has mild gluten present in it.

 Brown rice pasta – Brown rice, in general, is very healthy. It is not only gluten-free but contains healthy vitamins. Brown Rice Pasta can be eaten regularly.

Recipe For Healthy Baked Pasta

We can select a range of healthy pasta from the market but its nutritive value depends upon how you make it. You could have whole wheat pasta but if you cook it in a lot of sauce, you are only adding carbs. Below is mentioned a healthy baked pasta recipe. It is not only delicious but very healthy.


  • 1 lb. whole wheat pasta
  • half cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup Ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup  Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1.5 cup Mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup cauliflower and mushrooms


Boil whole wheat pasta and drain it.  

In a bowl, beat the eggs so that they turn fluffy.  To the beaten eggs add chopped parsley, grated ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, cauliflower and mushrooms. Keep the mixture aside.

Mix the pasta into the mixture and pour it into a glass dish.  Cover it lightly with grated mozzarella cheese. Bake the pasta for 30 minutes at 180 degree Celsius. 

Your baked pasta is ready to be served. Serve it hot.
